Young men and women listen to nasheeds to such an extent that they take up a great deal of their time and listening to them takes precedence over recordings of the Holy Qur’aan, the Prophet’s Sunnah, lectures and useful academic lessons.
So, this strangeness does not result in any loneliness for its possessor. In fact, he is as happy and sociable as can be when he abandons the deviant people, and as lonely as can be when he socializes with them.
I have met many people who do not know the meaning of life. Allaah has made some of them independent of means because they have a great deal of wealth, so they sit in the marketplace for most of the day, watching people, and they may see a great deal of evil deeds and objectionable things.
“Guidance (hidaayah) is:
a) Elucidation (bayaan) and Indication (dalaalah) (to the path), then
b) Success (tawfeeq) and Inspiration (ilhaarn) (in following the path), and this comes after (the guidance of) elucidation and indication. There is no way to elucidation and indication except by means of the Messengers.
If the people were to come to know of this act of worship that he was engaged in, he would quickly leave that area and move on to the next place in order that he would be once again hidden from the people.
In the hustle and bustle of the modern world, contemplation and reflection is one important tool of purification (and an act of worship in itself) that is often neglected.
