If you see your time pass by and your life go, and you have not produced anything worthwhile or beneficial and you do not find any blessing in your time then be wary that the statement of Allah has overcome you
In the words ‘Do not get angry’, the Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم) brought together the good of this world and of the Hereafter, because anger results in cutting off ties and withholding kindness, and it may lead to one doing harm to the person with whom one is angry, which diminishes one’s religious commitment.
The Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said:
“The sun has never been held back for a human being from setting except for Yoosha‘ (Joshua) on the day he was marching to Jerusalem (Bayt ul-Maqdis).”
We have not come across any basis for the story about the sun being held back from rising until Bilaal ibn Rabah (رضي الله عنه) gave the adhaan, in any saheeh or da‘eef report, or even in any fabricated (mawdoo‘) hadeeth that is known.
al-Bukhaari narrated from Burayd ibn ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Abi Burdah from his grandfather from Abu Moosa (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said to him: O Abu Moosa, you have been given one of the mizmaar of the family of Dawood.
al-Hafidh ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (رحمه الله تعالى) said:
“What is meant by mizmaar is a beautiful voice. The original meaning is a musical instrument and the word is applied to the voice because it resembles it.”
Safiyyah bint Huyayy ibn Akhtab (رضي الله عنها) was a descendant of Prophet Haroon (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ), and this is why the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) consoled her by saying that she was the daughter of a Prophet (referring to Prophet Haroon (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ)). And in this context only the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said that her Uncle was a Prophet (referring to Prophet Musa (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ)).
The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:
Give this nation the glad tidings of glory, establishment in the land, victory, and religious authority. And whoever of them performs an action of the Hereafter seeking with it this world, he will have no portion of the Hereafter from it.
