Whoever fasts Ramadan while inwardly saying: Once the month is over, I will disobey Allah; this person’s fasting is rejected.
Oh servants of Allah, indeed the month of Ramadan has prepared to leave, and nothing remains except a few more days. Whoever has done well during the month should continue to do well, and whoever was deficient, should try to end the month in good, for indeed actions are according to their completion. Therefore, take advantage of what remains of the month, and give the month the best farewell and peace.
There is nothing special in the Sharee’ah that distinguishes the last Friday of the month of Ramadan from the other Fridays of the same month, and there is nothing called as the ‘Farewell Friday’.
It is a lifetime opportunity and an advantage to those granted by Allaah, the Exalted. So it is not acceptable for any sane Muslim to pass this great opportunity for himself and his family, because it is only a few nights. Maybe a person will be happy in this life and the hereafter because of this one night (i.e. the night of Laylatul Qadr).
So O you Muslims! Strive in this blessed night with Salaah and Du’aa and making istighfaar and righteous actions, for verily it is an opportunity of a lifetime, and the opportunities do not remain.
Fasting is patience in obeying Allaah, patience in keeping away from the things forbidden by Allaah, and patience in bearing the decree of Allaah, hunger, thirst, physical and mental weakness.
