And acting upon knowledge – from it is that which, (if a person) leaves it, then it is kufr.
And from it is that which (if a person) leaves it, then it is an act of disobedience.
And from it is that which (if a person) leaves it, then it is something disliked.
And from it is that which (if a person) leaves it, then it is something permissible.
In their (our salaf’s) words is sufficiency and more, there is no truth that one finds in the words of those who came after except that it can be found in their words in the most succinct and comprehensive of ways.
The saying “Love for one’s homeland is from faith” is not the saying of Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) and is a very good example of fabrication and falsehood which are attributed to the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam).
Innovations have spread so much that it is looked upon as being a Sunnah, and when a person from true Ahlus Sunnah talks about some authentic sunnah then he is looked upon as if he is the one introducing new matters in the religion.
We should not make worldly benefits the be-all and end-all, because that will lead to a weakening of sincerity and failure to seek the Hereafter.
