So the callers to Allaah must start with knowledge. Whosoever calls to Allaah without knowledge, then such a person will cause greater harm than good – as is evident.
Referring the matter of Celebrating Eid Milad un-Nabi we find that:
The Qur’an says Nothing about it.
The Sunnah says Nothing about it.
The Sahabas said/did Nothing about it.
The Great Imaams said/did Nothing about it.
Was it at Allaah, and His Ayaat and His Messenger that you were mocking? [Quran 9:65-66]
So mocking the believers is equivalent to mocking Allaah, His verses and His Messenger and nullifies one’s Islam
Imaam Sufyaan ath-Thawree related that as a youth, when he first began to attend formal Islamic classes, his mother advised him, “If you write down 10 words and your faith hasn’t improved, check your intentions.”

Islaam is brought together (composed) of these two, (a) the soundness, correctness in aqidah, and (b) the soundness and safety in manhaj. Therefore, one of them cannot be separated from the other.
