If you see the innovative mutakallim (a person indulging in rhetorical speech) saying: ‘Leave out the Qur’aan and Sunnah and bring forth Logic’, then know that he is Aboo Jahl.
You find the person who has turned to the Way of the Salaf, in the beginning, strict and determined to keep far away from the people of innovation and sects.
This lasts for some time, but then he is presented a misconception from one who clothes himself in the garb of Salafiyyah.
Imaam ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullaah) mentions in his Nooniyyah:
“So be waahid (one) upon waahid (one) to Waahid (the One),
I mean the path of truth and eemaan“
If the people as a whole are ignoring the truth, one has to adhere to the truth, even though it will make him appear as an outsider or a “sectarian.”
Know first that if the truth shines forth and is clear, it is not harmed by the large numbers who oppose it and the small numbers who agree with it.
Referring the matter of Celebrating Eid Milad un-Nabi we find that:
The Qur’an says Nothing about it.
The Sunnah says Nothing about it.
The Sahabas said/did Nothing about it.
The Great Imaams said/did Nothing about it.
Was it at Allaah, and His Ayaat and His Messenger that you were mocking? [Quran 9:65-66]
So mocking the believers is equivalent to mocking Allaah, His verses and His Messenger and nullifies one’s Islam
