Allaah has given people a way out from the sins they commit and sin is erased by repentance and seeking forgiveness. If they do that then they will get rid of the evil of sin, but if they persist in sin, then they will be doomed.
Weak Hadeeth – Fasting a day is like fasting a year and Praying Tahajjud is like praying on Laylatul Qadr
This is a weak hadeeth.
Fasting any day during it is equivalent to fasting one year and to offer salatul tahajjud (late-night prayer) during one of its nights is like performing the late night prayer on the night of power. [i.e., Laylatul Qadr]
I came from my country (Shinqeet [Mauritania]) and with me is a treasure that is very seldom found in the possession of anyone, and it is contentment, and if I wanted high status, I would have known the way to achieve it, but I chose not to exchange this worldly life for the hereafter, and I do not give my knowledge to attain worldly desires.

Unfortunately the Ummah today is suffering [at the hands] of people who have no religious knowledge manifesting themselves for da’wah and fataawa.
And this is by neglecting the scholars and not referring newly arising issues of this day and age to them, and referring these issues to the youth who are ignorant (some, even of the Arabic language! Let alone [religious] knowledge that can only be acquired after learning the Arabic language).
