Imaam ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullaah) mentions in his Nooniyyah:
“So be waahid (one) upon waahid (one) to Waahid (the One),
I mean the path of truth and eemaan“
The Arabic language is part of this religion, and learning it is obligatory and essential. Understanding the Qur’aan and the Sunnah is an obligation, and they cannot be understood except by understanding the Arabic language. Whatever it takes to complete an obligation is in itself an obligation.
It is not permissible for me to waste an hour of my life even when my tongue is not busy with memorizing or debating with others, or my eyes are not busy in reading.
There could be clear people of innovation opposing the Sunnah yet they do not speak about them. This is the effort we experienced from some horn blowers where every group adheres to something specific or a specific manhaj so you find some making others astray and this is the effort.
So if he is upon the manhaj of the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) and the manhaj of the Salaf us-Saalih, he will become one of the inhabitants of Paradise by Allaah’s permission.
