Islam is a Bridge

We surrender to the Qur’an and Sunnah, and let them lead us. We err on the side of caution and realise that the words of our Salaf (predecessors) are true: Islam is a bridge that cannot be crossed except by means of surrendering.

Magicians of Pharoah and Refutation of the Mutazilah Who Deny Magic

As for what the deniers (i.e. the Mu’tazilah) say in that they (the magicians) did that with the ropes and sticks what necessitated their movement and motion, such as using mercury and other (such things) until they expanded (and appeared to move), then this is falsehood from many different angles.

For if it had been like that, this would not have then been imagination (of movement) (khiyaal), rather it would have been an actual true and real movement, and hence, this would not then have been bewitching the eyes of the people, and that is not called magic (sihr), rather merely an art (skill) from the shared arts.

Requesting a living person to supplicate to Allaah on your behalf

Going to a person whose righteousness is known to you, and asking him to make du’aa for you is permissible, but it is befitting that you should not make a habit of requesting the righteous person to make du’aa (supplication) for you whenever you see him.

Making a habit of this was not from the practice of the salafs (رضي الله عنهم), and in addition, this action also contains a degree of reliance upon other people’s supplication.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not tell anyone among his Sahaabah to ask anyone to make du’aa’ for them.

Correct ‘Aqeedah – The Unifying Factor for our Ummah

They want to merge all of the people together and that there would not be anything to differentiate between an atheist and an evil heretic, and a person who is upright, or one who is an innovator, rather they want all the people to remain beneath the umbrella of the name of Islaam so that the Muslims will remain united, they claim!

So we say to them, the Muslims will not be united except upon correct ‘aqeedah (creed and belief). ‘Aqeedah is what united the Companions when they had been divided.

Knowledge directly from the spring of divine Messengership

The Salaf are the inheritors of the Prophets and Messengers. They learned their knowledge directly from the spring of divine Messengership and the actualities of Eemaan.

It is not permissible to take knowledge from

It is not permissible to take [knowledge] from an ignorant, from someone who has deviancy in ‘Aqeedah and from an innovator or deviant even if they are called scholars

It is sufficient to adhere to what the Salaf as-Saalih adhered to

As for the interpretation of the Salaf as-Saalih then that is how we interpret, and what they acted upon is which we act upon, what they left off is what we leave.

Did any of the Sahabah or Scholars speak about it

Do not be hasty regarding that which you hear from the people, particularly in later times, and the large number of people who speak and give rulings and who stand to give knowledge and speak.

Zakah of Knowledge

One must always pay the “zakah” of knowledge. Stand up for the truth, always command the good and forbid the evil. Weigh between the benefits and harms of every decision.

Begin By Learning The Fundamentals Of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah

You find the person who has turned to the Way of the Salaf, in the beginning, strict and determined to keep far away from the people of innovation and sects.
This lasts for some time, but then he is presented a misconception from one who clothes himself in the garb of Salafiyyah.

Shaykh Uthaymeen’s Advice to the Horn Blowers

There could be clear people of innovation opposing the Sunnah yet they do not speak about them. This is the effort we experienced from some horn blowers where every group adheres to something specific or a specific manhaj so you find some making others astray and this is the effort.

Correct Manhaj will lead you to Paradise

So if he is upon the manhaj of the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) and the manhaj of the Salaf us-Saalih, he will become one of the inhabitants of Paradise by Allaah’s permission.
